Fourth time lucky for flat block developer

A developer trying to build a block of flats finally got planning permission after three previous attempts.

Richard Little, of Surrenden Crescent, Brighton, was praised by Brighton and Hove City Council Planning Committee chair Julie Cattell for listening to officers when submitting his final application for land behind 62-64 Preston Road, Brighton.

The three-storey block faces on to Ditchling Rise and mirrors the area’s architecture.

Previous applications for a five-storey block and then two four-storey blocks were rejected.

Anyone moving into the development will not be entitled to a resident’s parking permit.
