Free advice to keep warm, safe and well

Older people in Battle can get free help and advice on staying warm, safe and well as the winter months edge closer.

At Battle Memorial Hall on Monday, 10am-12.30pm, people will be able to get advice and help to enable them to stay warm and well during the winter and beyond from organisations including the NHS, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and Age Concern.

Advice on pensions, benefits and switching fuel suppliers will also be available from agencies including the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Pensions Service and Warmer Homes Initiative.

There will also be representatives from Trading Standards, Police Community Support Officers, and the Independent Living Service.

Visitors can also get information about services and support for carers and the Home From Hospital Service.

Free tea and coffee will be served, and there will be the chance to be entered into a grand prize draw to take place in October.
