Free fun at Littlehampton SPACE

SPACE is running out for kids wanting to learn something new and have some fun next week.

Littlehampton Town Council's Sport and the Arts Community Event (SPACE), now in its fifth year, is offering 1,100 free places to the town's children, aged between eight and 17, to try sports, from wrestling to croquet, and arts activities.

Councillor Dr James Walsh, chairman of the council's community resources committee, said: "The aim of SPACE is to involve as many young people as possible in sports and activities that they wouldn't otherwise have access to.

"We hope that many will follow up this introduction to new experiences by getting involved in one of the many fantastic clubs the town has to offer."

There are still limited places, for those living in the BN17 postcode area, available for some sessions, such as training with Portsmouth Football Club or Worthing Thunder Basketball Club.
