Free music festival

Starfish in the Park will showcase the talents of 40 local young musicians.

The event, which is in its fourth year, is hosted by the Lewes-based Starfish Youth Music Project.

Steve Franklin, a co-ordinator of the event, said 'We want young people and their families to bring a picnic and be part of a great day out.

'As well as live music there will be youth information stalls and lots of activities including giant games, circus skills, tightrope walking and art, drum and dance workshops.'

The day has been made possible by funding from East Sussex County Council and by donations from local businesses who helped fund the six-hour event by sponsoring pages in the Starfish in the park programme.

The fun starts at noon and goes on until 6pm at the Paddock Field Park.
