French students from Nehwaven’s twin town who visited Harbour Primary School this summer were given an English cream tea.
They also sang and danced to English pop music and made hand prints together.
Year five pupils gave guided tours of the school and then ate picnic lunches in the sunshine on the field.
Head of L’Ecole Des Vallees Claud Sevin said: “Let me tell you again how unforgettable the visit in Harbour School was. Maybe the beginning of future rich exchanges?”
He thanked the children and adults who had helped organise the visit which took polace on Tuesday June 17.
A total of 47 children and six staff and parents from the school in La Chapelle St Mesmin visited as part of their week in England.
