Fuel tanks tampered with in Worthing

POLICE are investigating after three motorists in Worthing had the fuel tanks on their vehicles tampered with.

The incidents all happened within a 24-hour period, in the hours of darkness, in Rackham Road, Cuckfield Road and Rogate Road.

All three car-owners discovered damage to their fuel tanks on Wednesday (April 3).

A police spokesperson said: “We are investigating these incidents and would ask residents to report any similar crimes to us on 101. If you see anthing suspicious and believe that an offence is actually taking place then dial 999.”
