Fun dog show and open day

Activities include dog agility and a race for the fastest dog. The dog show will have prizes for Best Biscuit Catcher and Waggiest Tail.

The will also be a police-dog demonstration, bouncy castle, rides, stalls, a raffle and a tombola, and visitors can have a behind-the-scenes look at the centre to meet some of the dogs currently looking for homes.

Organiser Naomi Tucker said: “We are very excited and we can promise a great day out for all the family, whether they have two legs or four.”

Entrance is £1 for adults but dogs, children and OAPs will be admitted for free.
