A fun-filled evening of rock’n’roll hits and frolics

Forever In Blue Jeans is promising a fun-filled evening of feel-good hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s when it pitches up at Horsham’s Capitol on Friday, March 16 at 8pm.

The show begins in the 1950s and 60s with rock ‘n’ roll favourites from Jerry Lee Lewis and Brenda Lee to The Beatles and The Monkees.

Blue Jeans also celebrates 50 years of Motown Magic which takes in hits from The Four Tops, The Jackson Five, Diana Ross and a host of other Motown favourites.

Spokeswoman Sarah Hooper-Ridsdale said: “The Carpenters, Showaddywaddy and Abba bring us into the 70s. A stunning piece pays tribute to the song-writing talents of the legendary Burt Bacharach, and includes his many number one hits I’ll Never fall In Love Again, What The World Needs Now (Is Love Sweet Love ), Do You Know The Way To San Jose and the memorable What’s New, Pussycat. The show ends with everyone invited to the party for the grand finale

“The energetic company is led by TV and radio recording artists Carole Gordon and Bob Newman. Carole and Bob have toured with both Tammy Wynette and Boxcar Willie and have been voted Top British Duo by the British Country Music Association for three consecutive years. There are also a success in the USA with an invitation to represent Great Britain in Nashville, Tennessee, plus two of their four albums have received Top British Recording by the press. Carole now stars in their latest production Voice Of The Heart - Karen Carpenter.

“The show also stars three terrific vocalists and dancer. Rachel Cantrell is a real favourite with the Blue Jeans audience. She featured in the children’s hit West End musical Casper. Jamie Steen has appeared in a variety of pantomime productions ranging from Cinderella to Dick Whittington. Alister Wilmott a talented young musician/singer who has travelled the UK with his music and is looking forward to his second tour with Forever In Blue Jeans.

“The talented Red Hot Blue Jeans Band perform stunning instrumentals throughout the show with musical director Chris Burgess on drums and percussion, Andy Sapphir on lead guitar and vocals, Matthew Newton on keyboards and vocals. The producer Bob Newman is on bass and vocals.
