Fun in the sun at Mewsbrook Park fun day

SCORCHING summer sun, live music and a host of good old-fashioned family fun proved to be the perfect recipe for a charity fun day in Littlehampton.

The Green Flag award-winning Mewsbrook Park was “heaving” with hundreds of people from across the area during a family fun day extravaganza.

Organised by David Chace, of Chace Catering, the event featured a host of attractions including a dog show, dance groups and even Elvis Presley – or someone as close to the pop legend as you could want.

All were there to support Littlehampton mayor Emma Neno’s chosen charities, Cancerwise and Home-start Arun, as well as Worthing and District Animal Rescue Service (WADARS) – with the groups set to share just over £1,200.

Emma, who attended the day-long event said: “The fun day exceeded my expectations.

“It was a perfect community event and the park was absolutely packed with everyone enjoying the entertainment and stalls, with their friends and family.”

Emma thanked all those who helped during the day, as well as those who took part.
