Seaside towns have a second chance to apply to the Government’s multi-million pound Coastal Communities Fund, Communities Secretary Eric Pickles announced this week.
Applications for this year’s pot of £27.2m are now open. Funding has been increased by more than £3.5m so more communities can win awards to boost their economic development. Money comes from the Crown Estate’s marine assets and is reinvested in coastal areas.
In 2012, 26 projects received the funding.
