Starfish Youth Music in Lewes has received a donation of £580.

The money was raised through a Winter Barn Dance at the All Saints Community Centre on March 4, which was organised by Peter and Sarah Earl, supporters of the company.

A cheque for the total was presented to Steve Franklin, chairperson of Starfish, and some of its musical youngsters last Thursday (March 16).

Starfish Youth Music, started in 1998, is now a community interest company and it offers young people in the Lewes district the chance to play, record and develop contemporary music.
