Paul Wotherspoon, Arun District Council’s cabinet member for community development, said: “These grants can help support voluntary, charity and community groups in the district and the valuable work and support they provide to residents.”

To be eligible for funding, groups must demonstrate their activities either promote or support one or more of the Arun Wellbeing priorities.

These include prevention of ill-health, information, improving mental wellbeing, tackling health inequalities, providing services for older people, and working with families, young people and children on a range of lifestyle issues.

The next deadline for submissions is August 2
