Fundraising fair for The Cherries

Determined fundraisers from Bognor Regis are getting ready to hold their first holistic and crafts fair in aid of the Cherries Association Charity.

The charity has supported the respite facility for 25 years and provides the Cherries’ minibus, holiday outings, toys and refurbishment costs.

All proceeds from the fair, which is run by the Bognor-based Mind, Body and Soul group, will go to help The Cherries.

Samantha Tweedy, from Mind, Body and Soul, said: “We are aware the future of The Cherries is uncertain and we want to help raise money to do any thing we can to help.

“It is such an important place for so many families and offers a great break for parents.

“We have all come from a background working with children but we can’t even begin to understand the pressures that these parents must be facing.

“The authorities must listen to what they are saying.”

The holistic and craft fair will be held on Saturday, October 27, from 10.30am at the Phoenix Centre, Bognor Regis.
