GALLERY: Chichester sparkles as the festive lights are switched on

THOUSANDS of people turned out in Chichester for the big Christmas lights switch-on – getting the city into the festive spirit.

West Street and East Street were full to the brim, with revellers pouring into the city to get a glimpse of the festivities.

With carols on the cathedral green, fireworks and the sparkling Christmas lights, it was a magical night.

“The carols, the lights, the fireworks – all brilliant,” said Sheila Price from Chichester, who comes to the light switch-on every year.
