As well as a variety of games, residents of Shoreham were treated to a Storm Trooper, Rapunzel, Tinkerbell, Dr Who and Captain Hook, who took to the streets to help raise money for local charities Dogs Trust Shoreham and the Friends of Shoreham Fort.

Games retailer and event organiser Gary Cambell-Smith, of KD Games in Shoreham, said: “It is amazing to think that something that started all those years ago in a small back room as turned into an event on this scale.

“The event was bigger than last year’s and we were very grateful of the help that came from games clubs from Crawley, Hemel Hempsted, Brighton, Sussex University and Hastings, as well as all of the people who gave their time for free to make this happen. Our thanks also go to everyone who attended and made it such a great day.

“The Shoreham Centre was the perfect location for an event of this type and the club has already decided that they will be back for 2016.
