There are a host of family events taking place at Wyevale Garden Centre, at Bexhill Road, including a chance to see what is being billed as the South East’s only singing garden centre manager, from 3pm - 3.45pm.

There will be a children’s fancy dress competition at 3pm with categories for up to six years old and six - 11 years. Entry is £1 per family, which will be donated to Marie Curie.

The garden centre is hoping to be able to raise over £2,000 for the cancer charity with the day-long event.

Marie Curie cancer care nurses give free hands-on care to people with all terminal illnesses in their own homes, and vital emotional support to their loved ones.

The charity provides care and support for more than 40,000 people living with a terminal illness and their families in the UK each year.

Last year, our nurses provided more than 1.3 million hours of nursing.
