Garden furniture thefts in Seaford spark police warning

A number of garden furniture thefts from Seaford homes is prompting Sussex Police to warn residents to be on their guard.

The latest theft involved a statue which was taken between midday on Sunday November 17 and 3pm the following afternoon from a garden in Cricketfield Court, Cricketfield Road.

It was described as white, about three foot high and depicted a boy and a girl standing on a plinth.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: “This is a bulky object and if anybody has seen anything suspicious or someone carrying a similar object can they please call us.

“It follows a report of the theft of some garden furniture from a town centre garden and we are warning people with similar items in their gardens to be on their guard.
