Event organiser Fiona West said Vivace! was a small choir, based in Ditchling, which had already organised many concerts supporting local and national charities.

She added: “I chose ‘Worthing Churches Homeless Projects as the beneficiary of my concert because it is a local charity that provides an excellent service for our community.

“It is a cause which is supported by the Church of the Good Shepherd and I am very much looking forward to hearing more about the work which they do when a representative comes to talk to us before the concert.”

Over the last year, Worthing Churches Homeless Projects has helped 1,447 men and women in the area with anything from telephone support, providing a hot breakfast or staying at one their hostels.

Community fundraiser Abi Harley said: “Worthing Churches Homeless Projects are thrilled that Vivace! are holding this concert jointly in aid of us and the church funds.

“We really could not continue doing the work we do without the generosity of community groups, churches, individuals, etc. We are extremely grateful.”

Every night, the charity has 58 people in its accommodation projects.
