Heathfield students achieved outstanding results in this year’s GCSEs.
An impressive 90 per cent of students achieved A* to C grades and 74 per cent achieved A* to C including English and Maths.
Headteacher, Alan Powell, said: “What was so pleasing that students succeeded across the board, whatever their ability, gender or circumstance.”
Outstanding performers, who achieved thirteen or more A*/A grades, included Miles Geldart, George Smith, Kirsten Mann, Mark Brown, Julia McCarthy and Evie Rowe.
Samuel Benians, Joshua Blakey, Alice Hamilton-Fraser, Joe Beeney, Nicholas Fenn, Jack Baird, Lucy Horner, Samuel Abbott, Mia Ambridge, Andrew Goswell, Kieran Karn and Luke Parker all achieved nine or more GCSEs all at A*/A.
In praising the achievement of these individuals, Mr Powell added: “In addition to these outstanding achievements at A*/A, students have exceeded expectations throughout the ability range.
“Every student gained passes. Four out of five students passed English at grade C or above and the same for Maths. 90% of students achieved the magic five or more GCSE passes at A*- C (74% including English and Maths).
“They’ve learnt what hard work and ambition can achieve and we wish them all success in taking these qualities forward into their futures whatever they may be.”
