The chairman and Poppy Appeal committee of Bexhill’s Royal British Legion, has expressed “heartfelt thanks and gratitude.” Ted King said: “To all those involved, from shops and businesses, to the many volunteers that stood outside for hours on end, and in some cases day after day, selling poppies, lapel badges and various other items, a massive thank you. During the Appeal fortnight we realised a huge total of just over £21,700. this amount is up on last year at this point. This total would not, could not have been achieved without the marvellous generosity and volunteere spirit that is always evident in Bexhill.”
