On Thursday, April 7, Adams & Remers Solicitors are hosting a free one day event aimed at owners, and prospective owners, of listed properties in Lewes.

With a line-up of expert speakers and exhibitors, the event promises to deliver everything people need and want to know about owning and maintaining a listed property.

“This event aims to highlight all that you need to know about listed properties. Owning a listed property is a joy and a privilege but can be onerous at times so it is important to be armed with as much knowledge as possible to help you avoid some of the pitfalls and make the most of your investment,” said Suzanne Bowman.

“We have a host of fantastic speakers who will leave you feeling inspired and proud to be an owner of a listed property.”

The speakers include Peter Bell, Local Authority Conservation Officer and Advisor to the Listed Property Owners Club; Robert Desbruslais, a surveyor expert in older buildings; Diane Aldridge, Town Planner who can advise on planning matters; Violet Hancock from Sussex Heritage Trust, and author David Arscott who will talk about listed buildings across Sussex.

There will also be an exhibition by architects, planners and historians, and a range of books and information available. If you are in the market for a listed property, you can browse the Property Wall.

The event, being held at Kings Church in Lewes, is free to attend and includes coffee, tea and a buffet lunch. The event will start at 9.45am and finish at 4pm. Booking is by prior registration only, first come, first served. To register, call 01273 403220.
