Get you vegetables here - ready sliced

An open evening was held last week to welcome catering businesses to take a look at what's on offer,

Jay Carroll said: "We had a very positive response from local and not-so-local companies - restaurants, and hotels, also nursing homes - all showing interest.

"The feedback was very good. We started this about thee weeks ago, doing our own prepared vegetables, but I wanted to get it up and running before getting people in to show them.

"It's all about saving time for people, so that they can do other things, and use their time more effectively. It's about quality food that's ready prepared - that's definitely the way to go."

A caterer will be able to order vegetables peeled, sliced, diced, chopped or cut to baton size, brussel sprouts ready to cook, or onions neatly sliced up.

"If someone is doing a big fete in the summer, and is going to be making hot dogs and burgers, then who wants to be peeling onions for four hours first? This makes life so much easier. They can phone through with the order, and we will deliver to time."
