Girl guides welcome new commissioner

A new commissioner for Girlguiding Sussex West has been appointed.

On Thursday evening, Annabel Gray handed over the role of County Commissioner to Amanda Teasel at a ceremony held at Arundel Castle. In the presence of invited guests, leaders, family and friends, Amanda renewed her guiding Promise and expressed how thrilled she felt as she began her new role.

She said: “I felt very honoured to make my Promise in front of so many Girlguiding friends and I am looking forward to taking on the role of County Commissioner for Girlguiding Sussex West.

“It was also a lovely opportunity to say a huge thank you to Annabel for all that she has done over the last five years to lead Sussex West.

“She’s led the County with great fun, enthusiasm and a strong belief in girl-led guiding.”
