The fire service received a call at 4.15pm about the incident in Valencia Street, Worthing.
Blocks used to stabilise vehicles in road traffic collisions were used to elevate the girl and get her free.
The girl was not injured.

A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl had to be rescued by firefighters this afternoon, after she became trapped between a lamppost and a wall.
