Glass smashed in shop break-in

A glass panel was smashed during a break-in at a Billingshurst newsagents.

Police said an unknown intruder broke into McColls newsagents, in High Street, at around 4am on Tuesday (December 1).

Access is believed to have been gained after the suspect smashed a glass panel on the front door.

A spokesman for Horsham Police said: “It is still to be confirmed if any items were taken but it is believed that cigarettes may have been the intended target.”
