Glimmer Stars on a learning curve
THE Bexhill Glimmer Stars majorettes made an eye-catching attraction on Saturday as part of the Devonshire Square piazza was given over to a celebration of national Adult Learning Week.
While the Glimmer Stars caught the public's attention and a bouncy castle kept youngsters amused, Patrick Bicar from newly-opened Bexhill Learning and Resource Centre in nearby Sea Road was fielding questions from the public about the benefits of adult learning.
Above the recorded music, Patrick explained: "We are getting a lot of public interest. The aim of Adult Learning Week is to increase public awareness about all forms of adult learning.
"We are not just encouraging people to come to us but to invest in their own learning."
