Going in style - St Richard's prom night

Year 11 students from St Richard's Catholic College did themselves proud when they dressed up for the leavers' prom night at the Powdermills Hotel in Battle.

They arrived in a variety of stylish vehicles including classic cars from across the 20th century as well as other original choices such as VW camper vans and even a Harley Davidson.

A first for St Richard's prom was the spectacular arrival by helicopter of Matthew Morley and Alfie Turner.

Staff and families were all waiting to greet the pupils on their arrival in the beautiful grounds of the hotel.

After the traditional drinks and photographs, everyone proceeded to the Pavilion suite at the hotel which had been decorated by Karen Austin.

A three-course meal was followed by speeches from head girl, Megan Milarski and head boy, Mark Longmire.

Following the more formal proceedings, the final part of the evening enabled everyone to mingle and enjoy a fantastic disco.
