GOLD AWARD FOR TOURISM CENTRE
Seaford Tourist Information Centre has scooped the Coastguard's Gold Award for its Sea Smart Safety campaign.
Newhaven Coastguard Ross Greenhill, who presented the award to the Tourist Information Centre team last week, said they had gone "above and beyond" the call of duty when giving advice on sea safety to families visiting the coast.
Last year Seaford Tourist Information Centre won the silver award. A mystery shopper who visited this summer acknowledged that the Centre had been doing even better since and recommended the team for the top spot.
Seaford is one of only seven Tourist Information Centres to have been awarded the Gold award throughout the British Isles.
