THE CAUSE of a caravan fire which led to a man’s death is not being ‘treated as suspicious’ by Sussex Police.
The formal identification has not yet taken place of the man who died in Deanland Wood Park caravan site near Golden Cross after the fire at 3.25am on Friday, April 20.
The body of the male occupant was found inside a single storey 8m by 15m caravan which was totally destroyed in the blaze.
Fire engines from Hailsham, Eastbourne, Heathfield and specialist units from Uckfield and Herstmonceux went to the scene.
They used foam, hose reels, jets and breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.
