Brighton and Hove Albion's charity arm has been offering fun days out for people with disabilities, including golfing and a zip-wire ride.

Gully’s Days Out – named after the football club’s mascot and run by Albion in the Community (AITC) – saw trips to Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf and Brighton Zip, to celebrate the start of the summer season.55

Kenny Moor, Gully’s Days Out coordinator, said: “Our Gully’s Days Out are always a lot of fun and it is brilliant to be able to add some new attractions just in time for summer.

“We are very grateful to all our partner attractions for hosting our visits and providing tickets. It really does make a huge difference to our members and their families.”

The programme is supported by American Express, with volunteers from the company joining AITC members at regular supported days.

All volunteers have received disability awareness training and provide help to parents and carers during the activities.

Mr Moor added: “Gully’s Days Out would not be as successful without the on-going involvement of our volunteers from American Express. They are an absolutely central part of Gully’s Days Out and I know our members and their families really appreciate the support they provide.”

Membership of Gully’s Days Out costs £15 a year, and this gives members access to all trips as well as the ability to request free tickets for themselves and their friends and family to several Brighton-based attractions including Cineworld, Brighton Palace Pier, Tilgate Nature Centre and tours of the Amex Stadium.

Membership is also available to day centres and special education needs and disability (SEND) schools for £45 a year, allowing all service users and pupils access to the charity’s supported trips.
