Gracie’s Diamond letter gets Royal seal of approval from the Queen
RYE Primary School pupil Gracie Kimmitt was delighted to get a response from the Queen after a writing a letter to her wishing her a good Diamond Jubilee.
In her letter, written on May 8, Gracie wrote:
“Dear your Majesty Queen Elizabeth. This is to say that I admire you and hope you have a wonderful Diamond Jubilee. And may you be our Queen for years to come.
Your faithful subject Gracie Kimmitt.”
In reply the Queen sent her a special colourful souvenir card of thanks with pictures of her.
Mum Sheliegh said: “Gracie was so excited to receive a reply. She has been doing lots of things at school related to the Diamond Jubilee.
“She asked me if she would be famous?”
