GRAFFITI -POLICE INTERVIEW YOUTHS

Three youths have been interviewed by police over graffiti attacks at Newhaven.

Lewes District Council appealed for information and as a result members of the public came forward

The graffiti had appeared last month in Newhaven, mostly in and around West Quay but also in other locations, including St Michael's Church and the multi-storey car park in the town centre.

Some of the 'tags' were also found at Peacehaven Community School.

Sussex Police Inspector for the Newhaven area, Alan Costello, said: 'Fifteen tags in all have been identified in Newhaven and Peacehaven and have now been completely cleared up. We would like to thank our local community for their support and assistance in combating this problem.'
