GRASSROOTS: Afternoon TG in Rustington

NEIL Sadler gave a fascinating talk, “A Policeman’s Lot”, at the July meeting.

He had a varied career, most of the time in the Sussex force, and brought along newspaper cuttings ot police emergencies he had attended, going back 30 years. He also had a display, including uniforms and truncheons, and some rather unusual items officers have to carry with them these days.

Anne Hill gave the vote of thanks. She was herself thanked for the table plant which was donated to the raffle, and was wished a happy holiday “Down Under”.
