Great result for poppy Appeal
Rye and District Poppy Appeal has collected £10.500 to date for the Royal British Legion during the centenary year of the start of World War 1.
Poppy Appeal Organiser Elizabeth Kimber said: “Thank you to members, family and friends of the Rye RBL and the Rye Sea Cadets who acted as distributors and collectors and the shops and businesses of Rye, Rye Harbour, Camber, Northiam, Playden and Iden, who unfailingly give their support. This collection will go to former servicemen and women and their families who require welfare assistance.”
