Paul Dendle, Arun’s cabinet member for the environment, said: “The club is a popular and expanding service for Arun residents. That popularity should grow with the excellent news that membership costs are frozen yet again, while seeing that the green waste diverted from landfill remains a very important part of our recycling efforts.”

New customers can join the club from £72.31 a year. Existing members renewing their 12-month subscription can pay as little as £58.21.

Lucy Stephens, club manager, said: “Residents get a reliable, regular and efficient service for collecting all their garden waste which helps cut council costs while benefiting the environment. Everyone wins.”
