Guns found after street shootings

POLICE raided a teenager's home after two men reported they had been shot as they passed a group of youths in the street.

Two guns, a gas-powered air pistol and another weapon were seized.

The victims, one in his 30s and the other in his 70s, felt a stinging sensation and later found that air gun pellets had drawn blood.

One was hit in the back and the other in the leg as they walked near the Co-Op store in Cooden Sea Road at Little Common.

The incidents happened at about 5pm on Saturday, May 14, but information was only released by police this week. PC Graham Fox said two youths had been interviewed. One was released without further action being taken.

A 16-year-old youth had been bailed pending further inquiries.
