CORINTHIAN CHURCH: This Sunday the service at Primrose Hall starts at 11am and is followed by refreshments. The Medium on this occasion is Rosalind Costello.

PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY: This week’s lecture was by Rosemary Wilman Hon. FRPS entitled An Evening of Contrasts. Rosemary began her talk with a series of photographs taken in Santorini followed by the Isle of Harris and Lewis, The Golden Temple, Iceland, Falkirk (of the 100ft tall horse head sculpture called The Kelpies), and Valencia. However this was not a travelogue, as Rosemary says she is not a travel photographer but someone who happens to take photos on her travels. The club was treated to an evening of spectacular and uncomplicated images where the emphasis was on creativity of colour, sometimes contrasting, sometimes vibrant and sometimes muted. Rosemary’s photography contains a wide range of genres but within these genres the photos are compositionally simple, and Rosemary experiments with shape and form seeking out the unusual. A truly inspiring evening.
