Hailsham: Rotarian to take to the streets of Eastbourne!

A LEADING Hailsham estate agent will give up his sales patter for the weekend and taking to the streets of Eastbourne in a bid to raise cash for a Himalayan charity.

Simon Marden will run 100 miles in just 48 hours raising cash for the Nepal Trust which is backed by the Rotary Club of Hailsham.

Together with fellow Rotarian Brian Cruddas, the pair hope to raise a whopping 4,000 for the charity which builds health centres in the far-flung reaches of the Himalayas.

They will understake their ultra-marathon tomorrowand Sunday by completing ten laps of a course around Eastbourne.

Mr Marden said: The Rotary Club does lots of different things both local and international and this is one of our worldwide projects.

So far, the pair are a quarter of the way to their target, so sponsors are still required.
