Emma Rich, 24, opened Mane Attraction, in South Street, Tarring, this month, holding a charity fundraiser to mark the occasion.

The salon will work closely with the Luke Cory Trust, which helps provide holiday memories for families with children suffering from life- threatening conditions.

Emma said: “We raised about £50 on the day for the charity, and plan to work with them as we go along, offering discount days and events for them.

“I have been a hairdresser for eight years, up until 2011, and for various reasons started working from home.

“I then decided to open my own shop, and I am really looking forward to getting started with my team.

“My mum, Shane, looked after Luke Cory before he sadly died, so that was the inspiration.”
