Handbag returned to home after burglary

A HANDBAG stolen during a burglary at a Worthing property was surprisingly returned to the owner’s doorstep days later.

Police were left baffled after the green and beige spotted Cath Kidston handbag was returned with no note, following the burglary in Orchard Avenue some time between last Tuesday night and the following morning.

A Ford Cougar car was also stolen but unreturned.

CID investigator Katy Wood said: “There was no note with it and we are keen to find out if someone found it and kindly tried to return it to its rightful owner.
