Planning Committee: I am sorry to have to inform you that the planned exhibition by the Neighbourhood Planning Committee which as due to be held next Friday and Saturday, 9 and 10 September, has been postponed. I think this is due to the fact that many of the Committee have been away over the summer and whilst everyone is back now, there isn't really enough time to put together an exhibition that properly reflects where they are with the Plan. However, as I have done in the past and will continue to do so, I will let you know when it will be held, together with details of when the next meeting is scheduled.

Singing for fun: If you feel like doing something ‘different’ now the new academic year has started but don’t know what, how about joining a choir? The Handcross Community Choir will start meeting again from Friday 16 September between 6.30 and 7.30 pm in the Upper Room of Dudley House (round the back of the Hardware Shop). If you are interested but would struggle to get to the sessions, call 400467 and they might be able to arrange a lift for you. The cost of attending each session is £2.

Quiz Night: Another date for the diary is Sunday, 18 September when the next Quiz Night in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice is being held in the Victory Inn, Staplefield at 7 pm for a 7.30 pm start. I will give more details nearer the time.
