Harley Davidson rider badly hurt in crash

A MOTORCYCLIST was badly hurt in an accident on the A26 yesterday (Sunday).

Just after 4pm a Harley Davidson motorbike ridden by a 44-year-old man from Burgess Hill collided with a Nissan Micra driven by an 80-year-old woman from Polegate.

The motorcyclist was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident which happened a collision on the A26 at the Wellingham Lane junction, near Ringmer.
