Harry Potter paintings in Chichester Library

HARRY Potter paintings have been displayed in Chichester’s library this week.

Terry Greenwell is a portrait artist living in the city who has painted a series of oil paint portraits on large box canvases of the Harry Potter characters.

“They are a fun thing for me,” said Terry.

“The place I have chosen to show them, considering they are from children’s literature, is the city library on that lovely sweeping staircase.”

He added he had selected the subject of the portraits because the subject matter was ‘current, interesting to children and light relief for me’.

The paintings have been on show since Monday (February 18), and will be up until Saturday afternoon (February 23).

There is no charge for viewing.

Terry added: “I think a bit of light-hearted fantasy art is a good thing to share right now in these challenging bad news times.”

Chichester library, in Tower Street, is open from 9am to 7pm from Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.
