Hastings firefighters talk safety with Chinese community

Firefighters from Hastings met with members of the town's Chinese community to talk about the importance of fire safety on Wednesday (January 13).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended an event in St Leonards hosted by the Hastings Chinese Association.

The service’s locality manager Keith Morris said: “We were really pleased to be asked to attend this event today.

“It is really important that all members of our community are aware of fire safety matters and we welcome any opportunity to be able to speak to people.”

He added: “The day was well attended and everyone who came along really benefited from the information we gave.

“I would like to thank Mrs ke xia XU for inviting us and making us feel welcome.”
