Hastings gearing up for Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning

Charitable locals are gearing for this year's Macmillan fundraiser - the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

The annual event generates much-needed cash for the cancer charity and a host of events are planned across 1066 Country.

Coffee mornings will take place on Friday, September 24, at various venues - including the Observer's own Woods House HQ.

Readers are invited to come along to the paper's offices in Telford Road between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Elsewhere there is an event planned at the garden centre in Bexhill Road between 9am and 12noon, with free tea and coffee.

And there is also one taking place at Mount Pleasant Court in Manor Road between 10am and midday.
