Hastings marathon runners needed

The event is only weeks away and the Hastings and Rother branch is appealing for any runners to join their team and help raise valuable funds and awareness.

Sarah Neighbour, Fundraising Co-ordinator said: "This is a fabulous local event which offers great fundraising opportunities for us. We provide vital support services to local people dealing with the effects of dementia, and any sponsorship from the Half Marathon would really make a difference to the branch. With every passing year, we are seeing drastic rises in the number of people being diagnosed, and if we are to be prepared for the inevitable increase in demand for our services, we really need to maximise on events such as the Marathon.

"So, if you feel like a challenge and would to support the branch, now is the time to dust off those running shoes, and limber up."
