Hastings '˜smallest gender pay gap' in UK

Hastings has the smallest pay gap between men and women in the UK, according to figures released yesterday (Tuesday, March 8).

Full-time female workers typically are paid 1.3 per cent or £314 less than their male counterparts, according to Trinity Mirror.

Women are paid £24,112 per annum on average whereas men earn £24,426.

But nationally, female employees are £5,732 worse off than men, making Hastings’ gap relatively small in comparison.
