Have you a Little Angel?

Fifteen Little Angels are on their way to school - leaving places free for new children to start in September.

The playgroup is based at All Saints Church Hall in Sidley and runs from 9-12.30 from Monday to Friday.

Michelle said: "We have 20 children at present but 15 of them are leaving to go on to school, so we have places for September. If people want a place for their child they can give us a ring and arrange to come in and look around."

The playgroup enjoys a wide range of activities - the children recently took part in a Messy Day which involved playing with materials such as sand, shaving foam and even spaghetti.

Michelle said: "The children get to experience a wide range of activities at Little Angels, there is role play and construction toys, and lots of physical activity. We have a nice garden outside with a tarmac area, and there are swings and slides so children can play out there every day - we have lots of equipment. We go out every day which is really important to childrens development - outside play and physical movement.

"We have a nice warm friendly atmosphere - very local. We have got a lot of children who had older brothers or sisters here, so we have been through the generation."

There are four members of staff working at the playgroup and parents are invited to get involved in the committee which helps run the playgroup by holding fundraising activities such as the recent summer fair.
