Have your say the future of Brede Recreation Ground

A questionnaire has been sent out to residents with the parish newsletter.

They are also available from the village shop and downloadable from www.brede.org.uk.

Louisa Cooper, Secretary of Broad Oak Brede Recreation Ground Committee, said: “By completing this questionnaire, you will help our funding applications for new play equipment and also ensure we purchase the right equipment for everyone in the village.

“We would like to get back at least 200 responses so we would be really grateful if you could take just five minutes to complete and return it.

“If there is more than one child in your household then please do a copy each. Maybe you are a grandparent and your grandchildren come to visit and want to go to the swings. Or maybe you just have an opinion. Whatever the reason, we would like to hear from you.

“We are busy looking at different funding options at the moment, and the next meeting will be called soon – keep an eye out for details.

“Everyone is welcome and we ask that you please bring your fund-raising ideas with you – from sponsoring one of us to sit in a bath tub of baked beans to a sponsored walk round the village dressed as Brede Giants!

“Our hope is that the recreation ground will become a place that all villagers will use, not just those with children, so if you feel we need more swings, a see-saw or perhaps more seating and planters around the area, please use this opportunity to let us know.
