Health walkers brace against the cold

Over twenty keen walkers strode out along the seafront this Christmas for the Rother Seniors Forum health walk.

The group faced challenging weather, including icy prom and biting east wind, but with hands in pockets, thick coats and seasonal santa hats they pressed on.

Michael Gebbie, of the group, said: "It was all the more welcoming to get back to Di Paolo's Cafe, and receive one of John's hot drinks and mince pies."

Rother Seniors Chairman Ron Sunderland thanked every one for turning up in the wintry weather, and mentioned what a success the Forum has been this year.

Seafront Health Walks for Bexhill start from the Colonnade at 11am every Friday. Leaders of the group have appealed for help running the popular outings, which have been running for five years.

Middle leaders and back markers are particularly welcome. If you would like to help, please contact Paula Hubens on 01424 446395. No experience is needed.
